WordPress is one of the most widely used blogging platform, and many of peoples choose it, whether for their personal blog or professional. Many of bloggers recommend new bloggers to use it for many of reasons, and in there SEO is also one of the most important reasons. However, WordPress has not much built-in SEO features but you can get them by using thousands of free plugins available. So, in this article I’ll tell you few reasons why is WordPress has better search engine optimization than any other blogging platform, and also which blogging platform has better SEO.

If you are on WordPress than you might know that you can use so many types of permalink structure even like how Blogger’s look, the reasons why WordPress is better in it is you can remove date, month and year type extra data from your articles’ link, and direct link (which you can see in this article) have better CTR than other. And even if you think that Blogger’s permalink structure is better than you can also set it like that easily.

Actually few peoples also says that data is also important to show, so peoples like to use date in the permalink, but when you can show date using your template than what is the need? If you are come here by using search engine like Google, then you may notice that the date when I was posted this article were showing at the side of this page’s result. Generally peoples prefer that, as not everyone see link to know the day when the article was posted.

However, few peoples don’t like this feature, such as me, who have disabled this feature. This can help you also if you changed your any old article’s permalink to any other but matching and if anyone visits to your site by your old link, than they will simply redirect to the original article, by this way you can keep your visitors happy. This can actually call User-friendly.

If you are on WordPress, than you don’t need to ping your blog on various search engines. It is really useful because many peoples done pinging themselves and that also lower there ranking because many of them did it so many times, so it makes search engines believe that the site is spam, so they simply start ignoring these type sites, while if you are on WordPress this work will done securely and automatically by WordPress’s creator’s own pinging tool Pingomattic.

However in earlier time there was problem of getting ping every time when you done post and even when you take a little change on the article. But on newer versions this problem has fixed, and even if you want to done ping again than you can do it from any pinging tools, such as Pingomattic, however I highly recommend pinging search engines only when you update your blog and also ones in a day.

With WordPress you can have access to thousands of plugins for free. And there are few of the plugins also available for SEO of your blog. The two free and most recommended SEO plugins are All In One SEO Pack and WordPress SEO by Yoast, both are good in there manner, but still I prefer All In One SEO Pack Plugin.

By using any of them plugin you can change name and description of any article for search engines, and when any one see that article they will only see the name and description which you have setup, and it actually good, as you can own explain whatever is in the article, as if you didn’t have it than users will only see the description provided by bot, which can also be non-relevant, and even many of other bloggers also recommend for this.

Also, you can redirect any URL to another URL by using a plugin called Pretty Link Lite, it is not only best for this but also help to show affiliate links without even telling anyone that the link is an affiliate link, and another advantage of this is if you don’t want to give any link to other than you can use it for every link, and that will help you to not give any link, even no-follow.
